About the Event
In this workshop, you will get an introductory overview of the proposal writing process, including what funders are looking for in grant applications and strategies for research. Stay for the optional hands-on session to work with the Foundation Directory Online database.

SPEAKER BIO
Ellen Jacks (she/her) is the Grant Information Librarian for the UW-Madison Libraries and a Public Services Librarian at Memorial Library. As part of her work, she manages the Grants Information Collection at Memorial Library and helps to coordinate the Ask a Librarian services. Ellen received her master’s degree in ethnomusicology in 2005 and a master’s degree in library science in 2011 (both from UW-Madison) and has been in her current position since January 2013.

Parking: There is limited parking on the streets surrounding Memorial Library. Watch for parking and meter signs to ensure you are in a legal space. Parking garages are located in downtown Madison.
