Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Madison is an inclusive community of professionals committed to ethical fundraising and philanthropy. Our chapter is the trusted go-to resource for education, networking and professional development opportunities for fundraisers and nonprofit employees in the Madison region, as well as throughout southern Wisconsin.
With valuable tools like workshops, webinars and a job board, we help our 200+ members and hundreds of others build and find satisfaction in their careers — the effects of which extend into the greater community and ultimately contribute to a world of good.
We encourage anyone interested in philanthropy, fundraising and nonprofits to join us for an AFP Greater Madison program or event.
In Support of Justice
AFP Greater Madison supports those seeking to build a better future for all in our communities and holds zero tolerance for the racist actions taking place. Now, more than ever, we are here to listen, learn, connect, and support.
AFP Greater Madison is not just a professional organization for fundraisers. We are a community of those who advocate for the causes we believe in and lift each other in difficult times. We acknowledge that philanthropy is a structure that does not exist in a vacuum, it too is part of the fabric of our community.

The AFP Greater Madison Board of Directors signed on to support an open letter in Tone Madison on behalf of Madison-based non-profit, Freedom Inc. Specifically, the AFP Greater Madison Board of Directors believes:
- NGOs should not be penalized for advocating for their clients. Freedom, Inc. is a Black and Southeast Asian non-profit organization that works with low- to no-income communities of color. Their mission is to achieve social justice through coupling direct services with leadership development and community organizing that bring about social, political, cultural, and economic change resulting in the end of violence against women, gender-non-conforming and transgender folks, and children within communities of color.
- Non-profit processionals provide essential services to our community and their compensation should align with the skills and value they bring to their organization, just as any other workplace. According to Charity Navigator, the disclosed salary of Executive Director M Adams aligns with the average CEO Salary for Human and Civil Rights organizations in the Midwest with comparable budgets as Freedom, Inc.
