About the Event

After the year-end rush in fundraising, as well as holiday time with family and friends, and before the new year is fully underway, we invite you to take a pause. Our presenter Katherine Bonus teaches mindfulness, meditation and compassion practices as a way of cultivating clarity, equanimity and kindness in taking care of yourself as well as others. Join us to experience some “practices” that may lend support to your personal and professional life in the year ahead

Our presenter: Katherine Bonus founded the UW Health Mindfulness Program in 1993. She retired as manager in July 2014. Her interest continues in offering mindfulness and compassion practices within healthcare and educational settings. She has trained within both Christian and Buddhist contemplative traditions for 25 years. Katherine holds certification in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction from the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society, University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
