About the Event

You have heard about crypto, but what is it? Can it help your cause? The answer is YES! Learn about cryptocurrency, NFTs, and how they can support your nonprofit from Susan Schroeter, Senior Manager of Prospect Development & Major Gifts, and Ash Collins, Influencer Relations Specialist, at Best Friends Animal Society. They will share how their journey to launch acceptance of cryptocurrency in 2021 has led to over $800K in crypto donations to help Save Them All.  They are excited to share tips and tricks to help you start working with the crypto community and tap into this new revenue stream.

 

Presenter Bios

Ash Collins (she/her/hers) is the Influencer Relations Specialist at Best Friends Animal Society, a national animal welfare organization. She manages relationships and marketing collaborations with social media influencers to help end the killing of cats and dogs in America's shelters. Ash grew up in Georgia, and relocated to Madison, WI after graduate school, and is finally okay with Wisconsin winters. She has been in animal welfare for over 7 years and is skilled in influencer relations, social media, digital marketing, relationship development, and crypto/NFT relationships. When she is not working hard to Save Them All, she can be found reading with her cats, hiking with her dog and husband, or sewing in her craft room.

In the role of Senior Manager, Prospect Management and Major Gifts at Best Friends Animal Society, Susan Schroeter brings over 25 years of non-profit fundraising and management experience as well as wholehearted enthusiasm to saving the lives of homeless pets. Originally from Co, Cork in Ireland, Susan moved to the U.S. in the ’90s, lived  & worked for 17 years in the NYC area before moving to the seacoast area of NH in 2010 where she now lives with her husband, two teenagers, and three perfect pets. Susan’s favorite things to talk about include cryptocurrency, wealth research, gifts of assets, inspiring donors to higher levels of giving, strategy, partnerships, and collaboration.  She also loves to listen, learn from and become friends with everyone she meets.
