Overview
Goodman Community Center seeks a creative, mission-driven Development Communications & Marketing Specialist to help execute its fundraising communications strategy through digital content, email marketing, social media, and event support.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and distribute digital fundraising communications, including email campaigns and social media content
- Support the digital fundraising strategy in collaboration with Development and Communications staff
- Manage social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Assist with website updates and digital content management
- Support approximately four annual fundraising events, including registration and on-site assistance
- Help maintain donor records and respond to inquiries
- Assist with photography, digital assets, and graphic design
- Monitor and report on digital communications performance
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written, verbal, and editing skills
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Experience creating graphics using Canva or comparable software
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for fundraising's community impact
- Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend event work
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in fundraising, development, or nonprofit communications (internships count)
- Experience managing email campaigns end-to-end
- Knowledge of digital marketing and analytics best practices
- Familiarity with Google Ads or the Google Ad Grant program
