Bayview Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing and supportive services to residents living in Madison’s beautiful and historic Triangle Neighborhood. At the heart of the neighborhood, Bayview operates a vibrant and comprehensive community center that provides culturally relevant and responsive educational, social, recreational, and cultural programs and services.
Position Summary
Bayview seeks a strong writer and steady strategist who cares deeply about people, believes in the power of place-based community development, and is motivated by the opportunity to connect funders with life-changing work. This role brings intentionality to the proposals and reports that ensure that families at Bayview have access to stable housing, responsive services, and the trusted relationships that make growth possible.
The Grants Manager is responsible for leading grant-making at Bayview. This position will identify funding opportunities, lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals, and manage grant reporting and compliance. Approximately 40% of Bayview’s annual revenue currently comes from grants, and the Grants Manager will own the strategy and execution to grow this critical funding stream.
Sample Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end grant-making, including coordinating research, proposal development, writing, packaging, and submission of grant proposals, as well as managing the reporting and compliance for all secured grants
- Create compelling, persuasive, well-structured grant narratives using effective storytelling and relevant data
- Translate stories and organizational updates into compelling social media posts, earned media opportunities and press releases
- Undertake internal and external research to identify funding sources as well as gather statistical, analytical, and anecdotal data

- Step 4: Reference Checks
