Grant Manager

The Grants Manager is responsible for driving Penfield Children’s Center’s funding strategy by researching, identifying, and securing new foundations, corporate, and government grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and goals. This includes leading the development of letters of intent, proposals, and grant applications, overseeing the full grant lifecycle, ensuring timely submissions, compliance, and fulfillment of all funder requirements. The manager collaborates closely with program staff and leadership to conceptualize initiatives, develop budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities, while maintaining accurate grant data to support strategic decisions, reporting, and audit readiness.

In addition, the role cultivates and nurtures strong relationships with grant makers, representing Penfield at meetings, site visits, and events, while providing leadership and guidance to the Grants & Advocacy Specialist. The manager develops efficient grant processes and reporting systems, tracks outcomes and performance metrics, and serves as an internal subject matter expert on foundation and government funding, ensuring best practices across the organization.
