Madison Opera seeks a full-time Advancement Officer to join its team.  A newly-created position, the Advancement Officer will work in close collaboration with the General Director and the Director of Development to increase the company’s philanthropic support, both in annual fund giving and in legacy giving.

 

Founded in 1961, Madison Opera annually presents three mainstage operas; Opera in the Park, a free outdoor concert that reaches 10,000 people; and a myriad of community activities, including recitals, previews, digital work, film screenings, and education programs. Since the opening of the Madison Opera Center in 2013, the company has significantly increased its programming and artistic breadth.  As we look to the next decade, we seek to increase funding to support opera productions at the highest artistic level; fund ongoing and new education programs; and ensure the long-term future of opera in our community.
