Security Administrator
Job Summary:
The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)*, the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for UW-Madison, is recruiting for a Security Administrator to join our Technical Services & Support Team. The Security Administrator plays a critical role and is responsible for the installation, administration, and troubleshooting of our organization’s security solutions. The primary focus will be on safeguarding our information and technology assets by monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, responding swiftly to incidents, and implementing solutions to prevent cyber attacks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cyber security principles, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is a hybrid role and will require you to work in the office at least two days weekly.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relative experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, or abilities
- 4+ years of experience in cyber security or a related field
- Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001)
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protections
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, protocols, and best practices
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
