Events and Fundraising Coordinator

Job Summary:

  We are looking for a hardworking, organized individual to join our team as a Fundraising and Events Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will allow an energetic individual to play an essential role at Madison Reading Project by communicating with sponsors and creating sponsorship packages, events, and providing us the funding we need to run our various book and literacy programs. Hours: 15 - 20 hours a week pending schedule, non-exempt.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

  • Events
  • Corporate Donations
  • Planning, Fundraising, Organizing
  • Workin with the Executive Director and team on year-round philanthropy programs and fundraising communications
  • Build relationships with donors and track necessary communication with CRM
  • Assist development of budget, projections, and reports
  • Work with other coordinators for staff and volunteer projects, social media content, and other duties as assigned
  • Raise awareness of the MRP mission, programs, and services 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Knowledge of and commitment to understanding the diverse need of our community  

  • Flexible schedule (availability on some nights and weekends)

  • Experience in fundraising, event planning, and day-of-coordination

  • Experience using Google Suites

  • Must show demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusivity

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is from $19 to $23 per hour.
