Donor Relations Director - Major Gifts & Capital Campaigns

Job Summary:

Job Objective: The Donor Relations Director for Major Gifts and Campaigns (DRD) is an elevated position, with responsibility for being a thought and action leader in relational fundraising in Madison, WI. This position is integral to the success of the Division’s fundraising efforts, specifically through strategic, proactive relationship management of portfolio donors with major giving and/or capacity. The DRD will take these donors through the donor cycle, with the goal of securing gifts at the donor’s highest giving capacity. The DRD will travel to meet donors in Dane County with regular reporting at the primary office in Madison, WI and Divisional Headquarters in Wauwatosa, WI. 

Essential Functions: The DRD manages a portfolio of approximately 200 current and potential major donors, with the ultimate goal of securing gifts at the donor’s highest giving capacity for outright and capital campaign gifts.

Minimum Qualifications: Education – Bachelors Degree (Master’s and/or CFRE preferred). Experience – Five years nonprofit fundraising role with a proven track record of managing a portfolio and securing major gifts.
