Director of Grants and Development

Job Summary:

Position Summary: Full-time Director of Grants and Development position. Responsibilities include managing grants from identification of potential funder through reporting. Further support for the organization’s advancement efforts include fundraising appeals and special events, and writing organizational materials as needed. Must have a passion for our mission to improve health in Wisconsin. Ability to work well with physicians, all levels of staff, and broad range of outside organizations and institutions related to health and healthcare. Demonstration of tact, maturity and comfort performing multi-faceted projects.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 5 years related work experience ideally as lead grant writer including working with reporting portals/systems, running fundraising campaigns and doing donor development tasks. Preferred candidate with familiarity working in health-related field with knowledge of the healthcare environment and health and physician workforce issues in Wisconsin; familiarity with quality improvement; experience working in a nonprofit and/or member association organization desirable. Must be a strong communicator with excellent writing abilities, public speaking skills with emphasis on clear and compelling appeals, proposals and requests.
