Job Summary:

MARC MARC, Madison Area Rehabilitation Centers, provides employment and day services for 300 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for each individual by providing employment opportunities, job coaching, and day services at 5 locations across Dane and nearby Sauk County. MARC is proud to support individuals at 200+ businesses, volunteer agencies and recreational sites. Job Summary: MARC’s goal is to have the Development Director be responsible for the majority of MARC’s fund raising, which will allow MARC to achieve our mission and maximize our compassionate impact in the community. The Development Director will steward and cultivate new and existing donor relationships, plan and organize fundraising activities, manage the development budget and work with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and fund-raising committee to raise funds to meet MARC’s annual fund-raising goals. MARC’s program located In Mt Horeb Wisconsin has outgrown its building. More space is needed to serve the individuals who come to us seeking to improve their lives. Consequently, the MARC Board has decided to build a new, larger location in Mt Horeb that will provide a beautiful, modern space that will be able to serve the growing demand. MARC has purchased the land and has completed preliminary architectural drawings. The next step is to hire a Development Director who will lead us in a capital campaign. The goal is to secure $3.5 million in donations over 2-3 years, which when added to the sale of the current building, will cover the costs of the MARC Mt Horeb’s new home. How You Will Make a Difference: We are seeking a Development Director to work ¾ to FT who can work independently, has knowledge of the work involved in a capital campaign, has excellent communication skills, and aligns with MARC’s mission. The ideal person should have experience in either running a capital campaign or aided in running a capital campaign from the ground up.
