Dane County Service Director
Job Summary:
The Service Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Dane County Treatment and Diversion Programs (DCTP/DCDP). The DCTP/DCDP programs enhance public safety by reducing recidivism through coordinating effective treatment and supportive services and ensuring accountability throughout participants' time in the program. The position also provides leadership and oversight for the integrated CCS program, which helps individuals live their best lives by providing support and services to address their unique needs related to mental health and substance use. This position is responsible for supervising and directing staff in providing court and clinical services, ensuring program activities and services are documented, and fulfilling contractual obligations. The Service Director works both independently and in unison with the administration team in recruiting, hiring, training, and ensuring the program and staff meet established performance outcomes. This program serves a population of participants involved in the criminal justice system and who may face economic obstacles to success; the ability to problem-solve and develop staff are integral characteristics of the ideal candidate for this position.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- State of Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Meet the requirements of DHS 75.03(85) as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, a Substance Abuse Counselor, Substance Abuse Counselor in Training, or MPSW 1.09 specialty; OR a physician knowledgeable in addiction treatment OR a psychologist knowledgeable in psychopharmacology and addiction treatment
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing services to adults with significant mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring needs
- Knowledgeable in Medicaid and community resources
- Prior experience working with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
