AFP Greater Madison is a local chapter of AFP Global. Membership is managed by AFP Global. When you sign up to be a member of AFP, your membership is two-fold. You belong to an international network of over 30,000 members, but you also gain membership to your local chapter!

Since 2005, our chapter has proudly received the AFP Ten Star Award — an honor achieved by only one-third of all AFP chapters. We were designated a Ten Star Gold chapter from 2014-2020. From 2021-2022 we were designated as Ten Star chapter.
Every year, AFP International — the largest association of professional fundraisers in the world — honors chapters for reaching goals that align with key objectives in its long-range strategic plan.
The IDEA Champion designation recognizes chapters that have accomplished many of the key objectives outlined in AFP International’s Advancing Diversity initiative. This designation encourages chapters to perform specific activities designed to increase diversity within fundraising, and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy in all cultures.
